Anh-Khoa Trần is a London-based (Greenwich) trans teacher, vocal coach, and performer.
As a singing teacher, she draws on the full spectrum of her artistic training and lived experience. Most recently, she toured the UK as the first trans Bar Girl and Cover Engineer in Miss Saigon. She holds a Master’s degree in Musical Theatre (Distinction) from the Royal Academy of Music, where she developed a deep commitment to detail, playfulness, discipline, and exploration—principles that continue to shape her work today.
Anh-Khoa has coached hundreds of singers across Musical Theatre (Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK) as well as Pop and Commercial Music, both in live performance and studio settings.
Rooted in the Ballroom community, her work centers the empowerment and upliftment of Black, trans, non-binary, and queer voices of color. This commitment led her to create Born2Sing, a monthly singing workshop series where BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals can train, perform, and heal in community. Building on this, she co-founded and continues to music direct the Born2Sing Choir in Hamburg.
In her teaching, Anh-Khoa meets each student where they are, while gently encouraging them beyond their comfort zone—always at their own pace. She guides singers to explore the full range of their voice, nurturing its many colors and possibilities. Her approach fosters a holistic understanding: the more you know your voice, the more freely and authentically you can express yourself.
