Mo is a racialised Butch trans woman with a strong background in music and putting on voices for unfunny jokes. She plays with ‘masculinising’ and ‘feminising’ vocal qualities to explore hir gender expression and for her safety and comfort in different contexts.
Ze comes to this work from a place of valuing community support and solidarity, and she takes pride in an individualised practise that prioritises your goals above any set structure.
She has particular investment in fighting the US-centrism of current voice training resources by giving trans people the skills to preserve their accents if/when that matters to them.
